East Meets West American Writers Review (Bridging the Gap) Writing Contest is accepting submissions for its
Spring/Summer 2017 Contest!

East Meets West American Writers Review is a literary magazine for emerging and seasoned writers to add or achieve publication credits with the opportunity to win money and/or a free book.
We are seeking poems, stories (non-fiction & fiction), essays, and photos. What do you love about Spring/Summer? Tell us about a Spring/Summer vacation you will never forget . . . amazing or dreadful. Tell us about a summer love? A summer job that changed your life? Send us something that shocks us, makes us laugh, cry or both. Maximum word count for stories is 2,500. Deadline is March 30th!
We do not print stories that are profane or of pornographic in nature. Our entry fee is $18 for one story or $18 for three poems. If submitting a photo, submission fee is $18 for up to two photos. That fee includes a critique from one of our elite judges (for written entries). The deadline for the Spring/Summer Edition. We will keep you up-to-date of the publication date.

Rules and Regulations
Submissions must be sent in an email or as a MS Word Doc or a jpeg if it is a photo. Please do not include your name on the submission (except for photos), only titles for our judges' blind submission. List your name, title, email, address and phone number on a separate sheet. Only electronic submissions will be accepted. Mail to: email@example.com You will receive prompt confirmation of your submission. No entries should have won a competition or have been published elsewhere. (Publication includes: on the Internet, when it has been involved in an editorial process i.e.: someone other than the writer) has made a decision to accept and publish the story online. Stories uploaded by the entrant onto forums for peer-review and critiquing purposes are not deemed to have been published. Entries failing to meet all of these rules will be disqualified, and fees from disqualified entries will not be returned. Entry indicates an acceptance of these rules.The judge’s decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into. 1st Place Winner will receive $100, All other accepted submissions will receive a free copy of the literary journal. Prior first place winners must wait two years before submitting new entries.
